MicroVision partners with STMicro +5

MicroVision has announced an agreement with STMicroelectronics to "work together to develop, sell, and market Laser Beam Scanning (LBS) technology."  STMicro was already producing MicroVision projection modules.  This makes it sound like Sony will be marginalized going forward, especially on newer scanning, driver assistance and augmented reality technology.  This could be a good move for the long run, but brings increased operational risk.  At least we now know why management raised capital.  Operational results may be challenged in the near term, but this is a step towards potentially game changing results.
